What happens in a Nutritional Therapy consultation?

Prior to the initial consultation you will be given my detailed questionnaires to fill in to provide some background information and to enable me to carry out a diet and symptom analysis.  The questionnaires can be posted to you or you can download them from the links below.

You will also be required to sign the Terms of Engagement document which can be downloaded above.

The first consultation will take up to 90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 45 minutes and are typically 2,4, or 6 weekly. 

During the consultation we will discuss your answers, and I will ask you further questions. In many cases diagnostic tests may be used to help identify food intolerances, and to diagnose digestive, metabolic and hormone problems.  The most popular tests are hair mineral analysis, digestive and stool profiles, allergy testing, hormone profiles and metabolic profiles. These are all individually priced.

I will then offer an explanation of how your health problems could have developed, and you will be advised how nutritional treatment may be able to help and given guidelines on how to improve your diet. 

Supplements and/or other nutritional support products are frequently recommended as part of the therapy.  Details of specific practitioner products will be provided and are available by mail order.  There will be a separate charge for supplements.

If you live locally I can accompany you on a guided shopping trip, or visit your home to check out the contents of your cupboards and fridge.
